Obituary

Adrian Lynn Nance "Sweet Pea", 63, left her earthly life to be with the Lord on April 14, 2019, at Trinity West Hospital. She was born September 30, 1955, in Steubenville, Ohio, to the late Carl O. and Vanny Lou Nance.

She was a member of Phillip's Chapel CME Church all her life.

Adrian was a graduate of Steubenville High School. After graduating, she maintained many odd jobs until she secured her career at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel. She worked for 24 years as a machine operator and laborer. Her co-workers affectionately gave her the nickname Sweet Pea! Once she retired, Adrian enjoyed being with her family and close friends. She was an avid bowler and bowled for many various leagues. She enjoyed cooking, dancing, music, and most of all she genuinely loved the Lord.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her paternal and maternal grandparents; her aunts and uncles and her baby sister who she adored, Valanda Nance.

She leaves to cherish her memory a beloved daughter, Marie Nance Hamilton-Smith of Steubenville, Ohio; a loving son Richard (Debbie) Bradshaw of Toronto, Ohio; a dear brother, Terrence "Pine" Nance of Steubenville, Ohio; two granddaughters, Shayla Nance of North Carolina; and Jiah Minniefield of Steubenville, Ohio; one grandson, Raekwon Williams of Steubenville, Ohio; a son-in-law, Thomas Smith of Steubenville, Ohio; a niece and nephew, Andrea and Carl Ware both of Columbus, Ohio; her extended family, the entire Stinson family (Fats, Tiny, Rhonda Jo) , Lisa Scott, Francine Sutton-Brooks, her number one friend Pete Lamantia; a special daughter, Mary Ellis; two special cousins, Grayland Sistrunk and Brenda Ware; three great God- grandchildren Kenzi, Karter and Aeri'onna Hendricks; a host of adopted grandchildren, other family member and dear friends.

Adrian will be dearly missed by all who knew her.  In her words:  "This is not goodbye, but it's see ya later" and "Forever and a day Love is Love, pound it Boo Boo."

We the family of Ms. Adrian Lynn Nance thank each and everyone for the outpour of love and kind words, phone calls, and prayers!
