Albert "Kurtiss" Fletcher

August 9, 1955 - June 26, 2021

Albert "Kurt" Fletcher, 65, of Vancouver, Washington, passed away July 26, 2021, at his secondary residence in Steubenville, Ohio. He was born August 9, 1955, in Steubenville to the union of Gordon E. and Theaudria Fletcher.

Kurt was a standout track star at Steubenville Big Red High School and West Liberty State College. He just missed the Olympic trials in the 100-yard dash by just 0.2 of a second.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his dear daughter, Kristina Anderson; brothers, Kerry "Khalil" Fletcher, and Gary "Buda" Wilson; two sisters, Kristell Fletcher, and Mary "Cissy" Wilson; two grandchildren; and a gracious host of other relatives and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held on August 9, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel at Union Cemetery in Steubenville. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery immediately following funeral services.
