Beatrice Hill was born on April 27, 1941 to the union of James and Rowena Taylor in Mt. Pleasant (Hopedale), Ohio.

After her parents passed away, she was raised by Herman and Eva Carter.

Beatrice worked at The Hub and at Labelle Nursing Home.

She was preceded in death by her parents; James and Rowena Taylor and Herman and Eva Carter, two brothers; Bill Bushman and Curtis Taylor and three sisters; Dora Bushman, JoAnn Hill and Emma Carter.

On October 3, 2013 she quietly passed away in the peacefulness of her home. She is survived by her loving children; Robert (Monique) Thorn of Toledo, Ohio, Carl (Essie) Thorn of Cincinnati, Ohio, Marlon (Eva) Thorn of Steubenville, Ohio, Regina Turner of Steubenville, Ohio and Wylene (Grady Franklin) Thorn, her siblings; Charles (Phyllis) Freeman, Donald (Mary) Freeman, Daryl Taylor, Jane Hyman and Lucy Carter, eleven grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, a host of other relatives and friends.

All services will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 221 N. 7th Street, Steubenville, Ohio. The Reverend Norries Hood, Sr. will officiate.
