Betty S. Adkins was born in Graham, Kentucky to the union of the late Bernie Sarver and Opal (Binion) Sarver on November 17, 1943.  She was raised in Amma, West Virginia.

Betty met and married Jackie Adkins and they enjoyed many blissful years together.  Together they raised their two children in Ravenna, Ohio. Betty was a Baptist by faith and attended Bethel Baptist Church. She was a hard worker and worked as a press operator for many years. A few years after the death of her husband she decided to relocate to be her son, Jack in Steubenville, Ohio.

She was truly a remarkable mothering woman and helped raise her grandson and great-grandson. She was the type of person that would give you the shirt off her back without any expectation in return. Betty had a kind heart loved her family and friends unconditionally.

She will forever be treasured by her beloved children, Jack and Rebecca (Robert Synuria) Adkins; her dear grandson,  Michael Mays, Jr.; a great-grandson, Xavier Mays; a great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Mays; a devoted best friend, Jacob Brown; a host of other relatives and friends.
