Obituary

The Lord God giveth and the Lord God taketh away.

Deacon Booker T. Walker, age 86, of Weirton, West Virginia, passed away peacefully at his residence with his wife, Rosie, by his side.

He was born and raised in Weirton, West Virginia to Alex and Lula Walker on November 15, 1936.

He was a Deacon at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Weirton. Deacon Booker served his country in the U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, and the U.S. Airforce. He did the longest tour in the US Airforce as an Airforce Mechanic. He worked and retired from Weirton Steel Corporation.  He was also the owner of Ted's Barbershop in Weirton, West Virginia.

He leaves behind his wife, Deaconess Rosie Walker; one daughter, Curri Lozada and two BEAUTIFUL Grandchildren, King Lozada, and Faith Lozada - They called him "Grandpa Booker"; and a son-in-law, Jonathan Lozada, all of Ocala, Florida. He also leaves behind two sisters, Ezzie Williams, of Wintersville, Ohio; and Vivian Gory, of Weirton, West Virginia; and a brother, William Walker, of Brooklyn, New York; a host of other relatives, his special friends, Austin and Ella Blackshere; and cousin, Brett Gilliam, of Weirton, West Virginia; and a dear friend, Deacon Lorenzo Lavender, of Steubenville, Ohio.
