Brandon Maurice Hubbard Young was born on June 8, 1982 in Steubenville, Ohio. He was born to Donna Michelle Hubbard and Ronald Lamont Young. Brandon departed this life on March 4, 2014 at the Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Brandon was a graduate of Springfield North High School in Springfield, Ohio in 2001, where he resided with Mark and Debbie stoll. The stoll family played a vital tole in Brandon's education and athletic achievements throughout his high school and collegiate career. He was an extraordinary baseball player and excelled in basketball and football as well. Brandon received numerous accolades for his God gifted talent in baseball in which he received the Miami Valley baseball coaches association all area award.
Upon graduation from high school Brandon attended Muscatine Community College in Iowa. He also became the 45th round draft pick for the Colorado Rockies Major League Baseball Team.
He was a devoted father, affectionate and supportive family member to all. He was infamous for his contagious personality and a smile that brought joy and laughter to everyone. Throughout Brandon's life he has achieved many accomplishments, but he will be must treasured for his inspiring and lively personality that left a legacy "TO THYSELF BE TRUE."
Brandon was preceded in death by his father; Ronald Lamont Young, his grandparents; Percy Hubbard, Dorothy (Poo) Cason and Harold Creech, sister; Toni Young, brothers; Ronald Lamont, Jr., Ronald Lamont, II, and Ronald Lamont Young, III.
Brandon leaves to celebrate his homegoing: a son; NyJaun, his mother; Donna (Kines) Young of Tampa, Florida, grandmother; Rev. Toni Hubbard, great grandmother; Francis Johnson, brothers; Shane Hubbard, Darnell Young and a step brother Xavier Brown, sisters; Charnay Young and step-sister, Joenika Wallace, three aunts; Gina (Demoe) Jackson, Kimberly (William) Bowie and Casina Cason and a significant other Tasha Robinson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral: Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at New Life Worship Center, 308 Penco Road, Weirton, West Virginia 26062. Visitation will begin 10:00AM-12:00PM. The Funeral will begin at 12:00PM.
Burial will follow at Union Cemetery.
