Brian Keith Williams, affectionately known as “B-Bop” or “Bop,” was born on December 22, 1981, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Johnnie Lawrence Williams Sr. and Patricia Hardy-Williams, and passed away on March 27, 2026.
Brian was a vibrant, outgoing, and free-spirited man whose presence could light up any room. Strong-willed and deeply rooted in his faith, he was truly a child of God who carried love, compassion, and authenticity wherever he went. Known as a “carbon copy” of his father, lovingly called “Popcorn,” Brian carried that same spirit, charm, and unforgettable personality.
Brian had a passion for cooking and found joy in bringing people together through food. He also loved music, which often served as the soundtrack to his life. One of his greatest hobbies was playing pool, where he dedicated himself to the game and proudly participated in a pool league at a professional level.
Above all, Brian was a loyal friend and someone people could depend on. He was a source of encouragement to many, with a generous heart and a willingness to lend a helping hand, offer support, or simply be present when someone needed him. His kindness and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Brian was preceded in death by his father, Johnnie Lawrence Williams Sr.; his brother, Curtis Williams; his brothers, Lamar Adams, Darnell Felton, and Thomas Scott; and his grandparents, William Brown and Constance Brown, and LeRoy Williams and Deborah Wilson-Williams.
Brian leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving mother, Patricia Hardy-Williams; his brothers, Johnnie (Lynda) Williams Jr., John Edward Perry, Kevin Williams, Jerry Granberry, Terrell Felton, Antwaine Johnson, and Anthony Caulton; and his sisters, Terri Williams, Ayanna Walker, Dana Williams, Tamica Hackett, and Juanita Walker. He also shared a special bond with his bonus sister and brother, Teffany Davis and Damian Williams.
Brian was also deeply connected to his lifelong group of friends known as TBC, who held a special place in his heart.
He is also lovingly remembered by a host of nieces and nephews: Jay (Kendra) Williams, Jamilia Carter, Sierra Williams, Antoneishia Benson, Manshelle Young, Man’Esha Young, La’Trail Hackett, and Anthony Walker, along with many extended family members and dear friends.
Brian’s presence brought joy, laughter, and comfort to so many. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy of love, strength, and kindness will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 noon, at Union Baptist Church, 528 Lincoln Avenue, Youngstown, Ohio 44502.
