Bunswella E. Brown passed away on January 6, 2017 in The Ohio State University Hospital System in Columbus, Ohio.  She was born on March 12, 1954 to the Gladys Collins Brown and the late Bruce Harper.

She was a 1972 graduate of Steubenville High School.  She furthered her education and received a college degree in the engineering field.

Bunswella was a Baptist by faith and was a very active member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Bunswella was the assistant director of the mass choir, a member of the women's ministry, the church picnic coordinator, the former director of the youth choir and a member of the culinary ministry. She was a director for the Acts of Faith Drama Ministry.

She retired from Weirton Steel Corporation.  She was currently working with the local Jefferson County Community Action Council.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter; Tina Louise.

She had three sons, Brian, Charles and Chris and was an extremely supportive mother, confidant and friend. Bunswella was a very talented person with a heart of gold.  Her "tell it like is" demeanor was a necessary comfort to those that knew and loved her most.

She leaves to mourn her passing:  her devoted sons; Brian (Natera) Brown, Charles Maurice Prentice, Sr. and Christopher Josef Prentice; a loving mother, Gladys Brown; a host of siblings, grandchildren and great grandchildren and many other relatives.
