Mr. Caleb Byrom, Jr., passed away on March 27, 2016 at the Weirton Medical Center surrounded by his family.
He was born January 24, 1929, in Byromville, Georgia to the union of Caleb, Sr. and Leliar Mae (Adams) Byrom.
He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church where he sang in the choir. He served his country in the World War II Era in the United States Army and received an Honorable Discharge. It was during his tour in Korea he obtained his nickname "Jap". Caleb worked as a painter in the tin mill for Weirton Steel where he retired. He enjoyed fishing and hunting especially for rabbit. He loved helping out others and was an overall good and loyal family man.
He was proceeded in death by; his parents, a daughter; Carolyn Palmer, siters; Ruby Lee Byrom, Lucy Motley, Addie Mae Mckenzie, Florence Helton and Virginia Underwood, brothers; John A. Byrom, and Orliage Byrom.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his devoted wife; Idola Mae Byrom, a daughter; Belinda Jones, a son; Allan Byrom, 10 grandchildren, his brother; Lafayette Byrom and a sister-in-law; Darlene Byrom.
