Carol Marie Carney Blackwell passed away suddenly on Monday, October 23, 2017, at her home in Carrollton, Texas.

Carol was born February 18, 1943, in Wintersville, Ohio. She lived in Wintersville most of her life and later relocated to Columbus, Ohio and then to Carrollton, Texas to be near family. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lewis Perry Blackwell, parents, Lester and Mary Carney and brother George Raymond Carney.

She is survived by her five children, Lewis Blackwell (Renee) of Wintersville, Ohio; Myron Blackwell (Lisa) of Columbus, Ohio; Michael Blackwell (Magna) of Youngstown, Ohio; Darin Blackwell (Jill) of Frisco, Texas; and Michelle Blackwell Sims of Carrollton, Texas. One brother, Lester Carney (Mary) of Akron, Ohio; two sisters, Doris Joann Carney Gilmer and Alice Carney Smith (Mark) both of Columbus, Ohio; many dear grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
