Catherine (King) Jones, 89, passed away in perfect peace on May 23, 2015. She was surrounded by her family.

Catherine was born in New Brockton, Alabama to the late Irma King. She met the great love of her life, LD Jones and they were united in marriage for 70 years. She was a faithful, obedient, servant of the Lord and she loved him with all her heart.

Catherine resided in Weirton for 65 years and was a member of St Peters A.M.E. Church. They later returned home to Elba, Alabama. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, cooking and the warm company of family and friends.

She is survived by her sons, Eugene (Nan) Jones and James Jones, of Weirton, WV; daughters, Mary C. Myers and Gail Jones, of Columbus, OH; Son-in-law Robert Austin, of Weirton; brother-in-law, Rudolph Jones and cousin, Rushia Culver, of Elba, Alabama; Seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews , friends, and neighbors.

She is Preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Peggy Austin; brother R.V. King and many in-laws, whom she loved as her own siblings.
