Obituary

Charles A. Kings was born in Steubenville, Ohio to the union of Maxie L. and Shirley (Royster) King.

Charles was a Christian by faith. He was a graduate of Steubenville High School and furthered his education through technical and business training programs. He worked with the local American Legion as a caretaker. He enjoyed his position at the American Legion because it allowed him to indulge in his love of music and meeting people.

Charles was a no nonsense person but with his strong opinion he had one of the biggest and most loving hearts around. He would do anything for his loved ones. He was dependable and so kind hearted. If he had it to give, it was yours for the taking. More than anything he loved his kids, grandchildren and family.

He use to DJ, occasionally fish, bet on a Cowboy's game here and there but most of all Charles was just fun to be around and will truly be missed.

Charles was preceded in death by his father; Maxie L. King and a son; Charles A. King, Jr.

He leaves to mourn his passing; four children; Latoya, DeShawn, Marquese and Cameron, a dear mother; Shirley, his grandchildren, siblings; Frank (Tammy), Floyd Leon and Diane King, Cynthia (Robert) Hayden and Shirlene (James) Smith, a devoted companion; Marnie Wilson of many years, a host of other relatives and dear friends.
