Christine E. (Harper) Hubbard

Christine Ernestine (Harper) Hubbard was born August 2, 1962, in Weirton, West Virginia, to the union of Bruce Roger Harper Sr. and Patty Lou (Young) Harper. She peacefully departed this life at Trinity West Medical Center on Saturday, February 27, 2021.

Christine was a Methodist by faith. She attended Steubenville City Schools. Christine graduated from Steubenville High School in 1980, ranking in the top ten of her class. Shortly after graduation on August 1, 1980, she married the love of her life, Nathaniel Hubbard. To their union were born two children, LaTausha G. Hubbard and Nathaniel Hubbard, Jr.

Christine was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her three grandchildren were the apple of her eye. Christine's favorite hobbies were dancing and braiding hair. To know her was to love her.

Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Patty Harper; two brothers, Bruce Harper, Jr. and Gary Harper; and one sister, Bunswella Brown.

She leaves to mourn her death her beloved husband of 39 years (Together 44 years total) Nathaniel, Sr.; Her two children, LaTausha (William) and Nathaniel Jr. (Kealy); three grandchildren, Jayda Jones, Nah'Zaray Jackson, and Jaloni Jackson; six sisters, Deborah (Julius) Saunders, Lisa (John) Brown, and Helen (Albert) Edmunds all of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Carol Harper (Allen) and Crystal (Michael) Simmons, of Steubenville, Ohio; and Eustine Harper, of Delaware, Ohio; two brothers, Anthony Harper, of Uniontown, Pennsylvania; and Kenneth Harper, of Steubenville, Ohio; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will celebrate Christine's life on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at the GREGORY-MARTIN CHAPEL AND LIFE EVENT CENTER, 255 S. 7th St., Steubenville, Ohio. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the time of service at noon. The Rev. Robert Harris of First Baptist Church will deliver the eulogy. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery in Steubenville.
