Clifton C. Taylor was born on January 1, 1955, in Steubenville, Ohio, to the union of Walter and Ernestine Taylor Childs.

Clifton was a Christian by faith. He graduated from Steubenville "Big Red" High School class of 1973. He served his country honorably in the United States Army. He worked for Wheeling-Pitt Steel for several years and then later worked in the laundry for the Pittsburgh VA Medical Center. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching movies and cooking.

He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Ernestine Taylor Childs; sisters Jocelyn Taylor, and Crystal Smith; and one aunt Ruth Smith.

He is survived by his brothers Gary Childs, and Derrick Kaufman Sr.; sisters Hilda (Ronald) Harris, Annette Childs, and Juanita Childs; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service, noon at the GREGORY-MARTIN CHAPEL, 255 S. 7th Street in Steubenville, Ohio. Interment will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
