Constance L. Blackwell of Steubenville , Ohio , was born on October 7, 1953, in Portsmouth , Ohio . She received her wings on Monday, May 17, 2021.

Connie was baptized at an adolescent age in the Baptist Church. She was a retired Jefferson County MRDD Bus Driver who took enormous pride and care in her work . In addition , she was a longtime member of the local woman's bowling team "Just Us" and very much enjoyed visiting casinos in the surrounding area.

Shortly after retiring she graciously accepted the responsibility of raising and nurturing her five great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

Known to all as "Connie" she was the second of sixteen children and is preceded in death by her parents , Lorraine "Dimples" ( Faulks ) Fleshman and Joseph Austin; also preceding her death are five sisters , three brothers , and her oldest daughter, Rajni " NiNi " Faulks .

Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband and military veteran, Albert C. Blackwell of Steubenville , Ohio ; her stepson Albert J. Blackwell, of Cincinnati, Ohio ; daughter Terri Faulks of Columbus, Ohio ; four sisters , three brothers ; two grandchildren , five great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews .

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon on Monday, May 24, 2021, at the GREGORY-MARTIN CHAPEL AND LIFE EVENT CENTER, 255 S. 7th Street in Steubenville , Ohio. Rev. Maurice Lawson will deliver the eulogy . Interment to follow at Union Cemetery.
