IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Craig
Barton
November 8, 1968 – April 21, 2025
Craig Barton was born on November 8, 1968, in Forrest City, Arkansas, to Robert Barton Jr. and Gloria Barton. At a young age, he professed his faith in Christ while serving at Hedge Providence under the guidance of Napolia Grace in Palestine, Arkansas. He graduated from Palestine High School in 1987.
Over 35 years ago, Craig relocated to Cleveland, Ohio, where he embarked on a fulfilling career in the commercial trucking industry. As an owner-operator, he contracted with local steel mills to transport goods throughout Indiana, West Virginia, and Ohio.
Craig was known for his humor, warm personality, and storytelling. He could always be counted on to share a good joke or a tale that left everyone laughing. His genuine nature and welcoming spirit meant he never met a stranger; people were drawn to him effortlessly. Craig had a unique talent for connecting with others, making him a beloved part of every community he joined.
He shared a devoted 27-year relationship with his fiancée, Keitha Henderson. Together, they raised her children, Cala and Gregory Henderson, and her grandchildren, MiCala and Nico Richardson, whom they lovingly brought up as their own.
Craig was preceded in death by his son, Craig Joseph Barton, and by his grandparents, John and Mable Wymes and Robert and Magnolia Barton.
He leaves to cherish his memory his father, Robert Barton Jr.; mother, Gloria Barton; brother, Robert A. Barton; sister, Eureka Barton (Shawn); sister-in-law, Inita Barton; nephews, Robert A. Barton Jr. (Jay), Justin Barton, Christian Barton, and Myles James; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Craig is also survived by his beloved fiancée, Keitha Henderson; her children, Cala and Gregory Henderson; and her grandchildren, MiCala and Nico Richardson.
