Obituary

Crilmer Lee Holmes, 84, of Wintersville, OH passed away August 4, 2012 at Trinity Medical Center West surrounded by family. Crilmer was born August 6, 1927 to the late Surry and Nellie Holmes.

He was a faithful member of Saint Peters AME Church in Weirton, WV until his health began to fail. He was a graduate of Dunbar School in Weirton, WV. He served his country in the United States Army during the World War II era. Crilmer was a dedicated employee of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel where he worked as a stationary steam engineer for 44 years.

Crilmer was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by so many. He enjoyed
spending time with family and could always put a smile on anyone's
face.

He was proceeded in death by his parents; brother, Arrelle Holmes; three sisters, Wilma Harrell, Anna Gibson, and Ada Johnson; one grandson, Joseph Thompson; and one great granddaughter Leah Mya DiNino.

He is survived by his dear wife Catherine; loving children, C. Nathan (Gloria) Holmes of Palm Coast, Florida, Cynthia Montgomery of West Virginia, Jocelyn Saunders Holmes of Pennsylvania, Jynelle Stanton of Steubenville, Ohio, Jerilyn Thompson of Carlise, South Carolinia, Jennifer Holmes of Norfolk, VA and Wanda Holmes of Staton Island, New York and Marvin Wilson; a host of beloved grand and great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Thurs., Aug. 9th from 6:00PM-8:00PM at St. Peter's AME Church, 1050 County Road, Weirton, WV. The funeral will be held on Fri., Aug. 10th at 11:00 A M. Burial will follow at Paris Cemetery.
