Danisha Lee Jones of Steubenville passed away at Trinity West Hospital on July 14, 2024. She was born on October 21, 1974 as Tanisha Lee Murray in Weirton, West Virginia, to Barbara Joann Murray. Danisha was later adopted by Danny Lee and Barbara Jean Jones, becoming Danisha Lee Jones.

She spent her formative years in Wheeling, West Virginia, and pursued education at Fayetteville Technical Community College in North Carolina. In her youth, Danisha had a fondness for board games and reading, passions she cherished throughout her life.

Danisha had a talent for cooking, particularly renowned for her fried chicken, and delighted in spending time on her porch with her grandchildren, affectionately known as Fat Chops and Love Muffin. She enjoyed watching movies and playing video games with anyone who would join her, showcasing her vibrant spirit and love for companionship.

Known for her technical proficiency, Danisha could assemble or fix just about anything, demonstrating both skill and ingenuity. Her magnetic personality drew people close to her, and even in her final days, she maintained her sense of humor and warmth.

Danisha was preceded in death by her biological mother, Barbara Joann Murray, adoptive father Danny Lee Jones, adoptive mother Barbara Jean Jones, and brother Dannell Leon Jones.

She is survived by her loving children: Arian Raquel Jones and Arin Winston Jones Goldsmith (Abrielle Crossland), as well as her cherished grandchildren: Jayce Lamarr Harton (Fat Chops) and Ari-Elle Lei Goldsmith (Love Muffin). (Steubenville, Ohio),

Danisha is also survived by her siblings: Danise Lynette Jones (Aliquippa, PA), Danny Lee Jr. and wife Lisa Jones(Indianapolis, IN), Danna Leeann Jones (Columbus, GA), Robert Lee and Angela Jones (Canton, MI) Damilia Clark (Baltimore, MD) , Keith Lamarr and Leonette Murray (Steubenville, OH), Sharon Louise Jackson, George Allan Jackson and Krista Levonne Jackson (all of Weirton, WV).

Additionally, she leaves behind bonus grandchildren: Braelynn Benjamin (Buttercup), Juz' Tyra (Ty Ty) Chester, and Jaylon Washington, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving family members and friends.

Danisha Lee Jones will be deeply missed by all who knew her, remembered for her warmth, laughter, and unwavering love for her family and friends. Her legacy of kindness and resilience will endure in the hearts of those she touched.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, at the Gregory-Martin Chapel, 255 S. 7th Street in Steubenville, Ohio. Friends are invited to join the family from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm.
