Daphaney J. Birden was born January 24, 1969, in Chicago, Illinois to the union of Jessie and Linda Birden. On July 2, 2018, at Valley Hospice Care Center North she lost her battle with a heart disease she fought for many years.

She graduated high school in Chicago, IL; and later went on to become a caregiver for those with special needs. She enjoyed laughing and having a good time. Daphaney was very family oriented, she loved everyone especially her family. She was truly a kind person with a loving heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Nathaniel Richmond; 2 brothers, Demetrius and Keith Birden; and a sister, Michelle Harris.

Daphaney is survived by, her loving children, Tashonda, Malik, Amir, and Na'Kia; her sisters; Lashonda, Tanea (Craig), and Jalonda; and one brother, Shayne; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

Calling hours will take place on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m., at the Gregory-Martin Funeral Chapel, 255 S. 7th Street in Steubenville.
