Obituary

David Manson Herrin was born November 23, 1953, in Steubenville, Ohio, to the union of David Manson Herrin and Sis Mullins Herrin. He passed away peacefully on Monday, February 20, 2023, at the age of 69. He was known to those who knew and loved him as David Dee, Manson, or Old Head.

His sports enthusiasm started at a young age at Grant School where he played football, basketball, and baseball. His passion for sports continued through his high school years. He later joined his family band the TNT Flashers as the equipment manager. He traveled with the band from coast to coast until the group disbanded. He came back to Steubenville and resided there until 1991. He lived and worked in Washington, Pennsylvania, for 10 years. Upon his return to his hometown of Steubenville, Ohio, he worked and retired from Bates Amusement and Carnival.

David enjoyed March Madness college basketball tournaments which he enjoyed watching. His all-time favorite Football team was the Pittsburgh Steelers, he was a true fan through and through. A few of his other favorite teams were the LA Lakers, The Ohio State, and New York Yankees and of course, Steubenville "Big Red" - he was a true sports fan. Playing Spades and Bid Whist, listening to Smooth Jazz and R&B, and spending time with his children and grandchildren brought him joy in his golden years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Sis Mullins Herrin.
