Debby Yvonne Austin, age 66, of Steubenville , Ohio, passed away July 13, 2019, at Trinity Medical Center West.

Debby was born June 13, 1953, in Macon, Georgia. She was a Baptist by faith . After graduating, she worked as a sanitation worker and was proud to be one of the first women to occupy this position. She was a remarkably strong and independent woman with a generous heart. She was the type of person that would do anything for anyone especially her family . She was an avid shopper and enjoyed shopping and spending time with her mother , Josephine Underwood who recently passed away . Debby loved watching movies and frequently enjoyed a game of bingo.

She was preceded in death by her mother and her step-father.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory , a sister , Renee Austin , of Savannah, Georgia; a daughter , Tawatha Austin of Arizona; two sons , La'twan Anderson and Warren "Elliott" Austin , both of Steubenville ; nine grandchildren ; four great-grandchildren; two close friends, Micheal Thomas, whom she enjoyed playing cards with and Erin Snyder, who was always there for her; a host of other relatives and dear friends .

The family will accept friends on Friday, July 19, 2019, 1 p.m. until the time of service , 2 p.m. at Gregory-Martin Funeral Home , 711 South Street in Steubenville , Ohio.
