Obituary

Dolores Beatrice "Bea" Turner (83) entered into eternal life on March 6, 2013 at Lifeline Hospital in Winterville, OH. She was born January 16, 1930 in Steubenville, Ohio to the late Delores Simmie (Murray) Turner and
John W. Turner Sr.

Dolores attended the Steubenville school system. As a Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, and Aunt she was a phenomenal woman. She was a woman of character, spirit, and strength, who loved her family so.

"Bea" was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her family. Often Bea could be heard humming or singing as she cleaned or prepared meals for her children. She took pride in ensuring dinner was ready by the time they returned from school. Bea enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition, she enjoyed the time she spent with two of her nephews Shelton "Snooks" Turner and Robert "Bobby" Turner, who were so dear to her.

In her leisure time, Bea enjoyed playing cards (War), playing bingo with family, and watching scary movies often yelling at the bad guy on the TV screen. However, Bea's favorite past time was writing. She would write from sun up to sun down. Whatever she came across e.g., magazine or newspaper, she would write every word, and when she was finished she would go back and check the spelling of every word.

Unless Bea was physically unable, you could count on seeing "Sister Bea" on Sunday at the Emmanuel Church of God in Christ where she received the word of God. Bea loved her church with the same devotion she gave to her family. Through faith, commitment, and deeds Bea has touched the lives of countless people.

God has seen fit to call her home. While we are extremely saddened to be without her, we know that she will always be in our hearts, minds, and souls. Her love and wisdom has touched us all. Rest in peace and God willing we will all see you again someday.

She leaves to cherish her memory; Four Children: Kenneth Turner, Sharlene Turner, Moses Turner, and Joyce Turner-Coles; One Son-in-Law: Brian Coles; Five Grandchildren Shelton Turner, India Turner, Shelvon Turner, Bria Coles, Jasmine Coles; Seven Great-Grandchildren: Makayla Turner, Leland Sewell, Miami Turner, Israella Finley, Simayiah Turner, Dominica Turner, and Payton Turner; Two Sisters: Sylvia Turner-Hurtt, and Martha Holmes; One Aunt: Ruth Harris; and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces, Great nephews, cousins, and a large number of loyal, devoted and highly regarded friends.

In Addition, she was predeceased by her Mother Delores Simmie (Murray) Turner, Father: John W. Turner Sr.; Two Brothers: John W. Turner Jr., Henry Steele, Two Sisters: Lucias Mae Turner, and Belauh Houst.
