Diane McGhee "Princess Diana", 61, entered into eternal life on May 5, 2018, at Lancia Villa Vista in Steubenville, OH. She was born May 30, 1956, in Wheeling, West Virginia to the late James Henry and Maggie L. (Poteat) McGhee.

She attended Steubenville High School. Later she went to the Steubenville School of Cosmetology and then graduated from Pittsburgh Beauty Academy.

Diane was a Baptist by faith and attended Mt. Carmel Community Baptist Church until her health declined. Music was a true love of hers and she enjoyed singing in the choir. Diane was a "people person" and had a true gift for bringing people together, she knew of no strangers. She had a passion for doing hair and her skill showed through her clients. She adored kids especially her nieces and nephews and treated them just like they were her own. She gave them their very own special nickname. Her kind heart and laugh will be missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James Clinton McGhee, and Robert "Bobby" McGhee; and her sisters, Rose Ann McGhee-Swearingen, and Anna Margaret McGhee.

She will be missed by her brother, Ben Lee Poteat, of North Carolina; her sisters, Geraldine McGhee-Wise, Joyce McGhee, and Mary Catherine McGhee, all of Steubenville, OH; three godsons, Reggie Hill, Brian "Baseball" Robinson, and David Thorn, II; a host of nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

All services will be held at Mount Carmel Community Baptist Church, 708 N 5th St, Steubenville, OH; Public viewing, 11:30 a.m. until her life celebration at 1 p.m., Rev. Benjamin L. Calvert, II, Senior Pastor will officiate.
