Duane Delzart “Wayne” Pruitt, of Steubenville, Ohio, passed away on February 13, 2026, at Trinity Medical Center. He was born on December 31, 1980, in Steubenville, Ohio, the son of the late Duane Robert Pruitt and Toi Michele Felton.

Duane, better known as “Wayne,” was a very laid-back and somewhat introverted person who began to come out of his shell in recent years. He was a mama’s boy, affectionately earning the nickname “Toi Boy.” His greatest gift was his genuine love and consideration for his family and others. To know Wayne was to know his calming spirit, level-headed personality, and easygoing nature. His mischievous smile was contagious, and his laugh had a way of bringing curiosity and joy to those around him. Wayne was an anchor for his family and found great joy in cooking and baking for them. Through his training at Jefferson Vocational School (JVS), he developed skills as an electrician and became a dependable handyman.

Wayne was a proud graduate of Steubenville Big Red High School and Jefferson Vocational School (JVS).

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, MyTia Pruitt; his son, Darious Robinson; his maternal grandparents, Betty Jean and William Felton; his paternal grandparents, Vera and Sabron Pruitt; and his aunts and uncles, Jaqueline Pruitt, Larry Terry, Tilise Felton-Elder, and Sabron Pruitt; and one cousin LaShawna “LaLa” Terry.

Wayne leaves to cherish his memory his son, Tyzon Pruitt; his daughters, Dy’Asha Pruitt and Ava Robinson; his siblings, Yvonne Foster, Del’Lesha Felton, Lamont Pruitt, Shirrell Pruitt, Shareese Pruitt, Markis Hopkins, and Eugene Hopkins; nephews, Sabron and Soule' Felton; his aunt, Therese Felton-Elder; and a host of other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends for a public visitation on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Gregory-Martin Funeral Chapel, 255 South 7th Street, Steubenville, Ohio.
