Earnestine Jean Jordan was born on August 28, 1940, in the state of Arkansas to Mr. and Mrs. James and Earnestine Wooden. She later relocated to Chicago, Illinois, where she attended Hyde Park High School.
Earnestine was one of three children born to this union, alongside her siblings James Arthur Wooden Jr. and Earlene Jordan. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Earnestine Jordan Mims, and her brother James A. Wooden Jr., both in 1993; her father, James A. Wooden, in 1994; and her youngest brother, Eugene S. A devoted intercessor and prayer warrior, Earnestine had a heart for ministry and was passionate about sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. She was a faithful member of the church throughout her life—attending Living Word Christian Center under the leadership of Dr. Bill Winston in Chicago for many years, and later becoming a member of Faith and Power Church in Steubenville, Ohio.
