Edward "Eddie" Thorn was born on Dec 22, 1933 to the union of the late Julius C. and Beatrice Haywood Thorn in Steubenville, Ohio.

Eddie was a graduate of Steubenville High School and he continued his school support as a Booster throughout the years.

He was reared in Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He was Married to the late Mary Ruth Thorn and together they had three children, Curtis, Glenn and Sharon Thorn.

Eddie was very active in the community. He was a member of the Gentleman's Club, which was known for its generosity to the elderly and children. Eddie was a sports fanatic and his favorite team was the local Steubenville Big Red – Roll Red Roll.

Above all his service deeds, his cowboy movies, his funny jokes he will be remembered for the family outings with his kids and grandkids. He truly loved his wife and kids. In his later years; Eddie and his wife Mary Ruth traveled and enjoyed many cruises abroad.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, his wife, two sons; Curtis and Glenn Thorn, a granddaughter; Miya, and his siblings; Donald Thorn and Annie Thorn Edwards.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter; Sharon Thorn, grandchildren; Cutrece (Todd Dawson), Curtis, Jr., Edward, II., Miles and Olivia Thorn and Rishauna Harrison, a brother; Robert (Juanita) Thorn, 14 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
