Eleanor S. Thorn, 75, of Steubenville, Ohio, passed away on February 1, 2021, at the Laurels of Steubenville. She was born April 17, 1945, in Yorkville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Elijah and Thelma (Alexander) Sherrell.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Delbert and Howard Sherrell, and her sister Susan Oldham.

She is survived by her only son Jonathan (Sherry); one granddaughter Suzette; three grandsons Jonathan, Christopher, and Matthew; five great-grandchildren, and one sister, Denise Deinger.

A public visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at the GREGORY-MARTIN CHAPEL & LIFE EVENT CENTER, 255 S. 7th Street in Steubenville, Ohio. Interment will take place at Union Cemetery.
