Eric Lamont Turner, 73, of Weirton, West Virginia, passed away surrounded by loved ones. He was born on January 6, 1952, to the late Naomi and Harry Turner.
Eric was a proud graduate of West Virginia State University, where he earned his bachelor's degree. He was also a dedicated member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan.
Eric retired from Weirton Steel after many years of dedicated service. Even after retirement, he continued to work on the Pipeline, demonstrating his strong work ethic and commitment.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Mahogany Brown, his brother Gary Kent Turner, and his sister Glenda M. Turner.
Left to cherish his memory is his devoted significant other Nancy Miniefield; his son Eric Coalhouse Turner; his daughter Kristen (LaTorry) Herring; and his beloved grandchildren Onijah Hill, Precious Wade, Journey Turner, Ka'Trea McQueen, Khyri Turner, and Cartier Turner.
He is also survived by his siblings Norvell Turner, Eli "Jo-Jo" (Leah) Turner, Bryan "Spunky" Turner, and Robyn "Boo" Turner-Gordon, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 12 noon at the Gregory-Martin Funeral Chapel, 255 S. 7th Street (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.) in Steubenville, Ohio. Pastor Sam Williams will deliver the eulogy.
