Erin Vanessa Wood, 40, of Steubenville, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 29, 2024.

Born on September 4, 1983, to Beverly White and Donald Wood, Erin lived a beautiful life. Vibrant from beginning to end, she touched the lives of so many along her journey. She was loved dearly by her family and friends, and her unique personality made her the favorite of the family—a title she proudly embraced. Erin was truly one of a kind.

As a child, Erin was always humorous and lighthearted, kind and loving. Although she never had a favorite color, she had many favorite things and was passionate about all of them. Her spirit was unmatchable, and her intelligence was the same.

Erin attended Steubenville High School and went on to graduate with a degree in Massage Therapy, which was one of her happiest achievements.

Erin is preceded in death by her parents, Beverly White and Donald Wood, and her nieces, Quayla White and Krisshauna Smith.

She is survived by her son, Nahkeem Wood-Crossland; her siblings, Donna Spencer, Tammy Elmore, Tiffany White, Michael White, and Erika Wood; as well as her many nieces and nephews.

Erin's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Friends are invited to join the family on Monday, July 8, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Gregory-Martin Chapel, 255 S. 7th Street in Steubenville, Ohio, where a public visitation will be held.
