Evon Abron was born May 3, 1949, in Jasper, Alabama, to the union of the late Willie and Annie Abron. Evon accepted Christ at a young age and now she is in the hands of our almighty God.

Evon was a diligent employee of Sugghrue Mion, PLLC in Washington D.C. for 38 years until she decided to retire. Evon was adored by everyone! She spent many years creating lasting memories with her beloved fiancé Eugene. In her spare time, she loved interior decorating, enjoyed taking trips, and loved watching her favorite team, The Steelers play football. She loved her family beyond measure and her close friends immensely. She attended church at Calvary Community Missionary Baptist whenever she was at home here in Steubenville and loved sharing what she learned in church with others.

In addition to her parents, Evon was preceded in death by Willie and Annie Abron, fiancé Eugene Bradley; sister Linda; brother Warren; a beloved aunt Emma; and cousins Biggie and Clint.

Evon is survived by her brother Allen (Carol), nephews Allen Jr., and Clifford (Lynn); nieces Latoya and Janeigh; and a host of other special relatives and friends. She also treasured her relationships with special friends Duane Sims and his children; Mary Ann Smith; Mrs. Betty; Mr. Alfourd Brown; and her god-daughters Yvette Smith and Robin Jones (Dwayne).

Evon was a great role model for us all and she will continue living on in our memories and our hearts.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 29, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service, 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Community Missionary Baptist Church, 511 Woodlawn Avenue in Steubenville, Ohio. The Rev. Dr. Calvin McLoyd Jr. will deliver the eulogy. Entombment to follow at Union Cemetery in Steubenville.
