Frank Jeter, Jr. was the second youngest son born to the union of Frank and Phebiean (Gilliam) Jeter in the small town of Santuck, which is part of Union County, South Carolina.
After Frank graduated High school he served his country honorably in the United States Army. He worked and retired from Weirton Steel Corporation after many years of service.
He was a longtime and faithful member of St. Peter's AME Church. He was a very spiritual man and every morning he started it out by reading his bible. He was a Steward and a member of the Choir. Frank was also a member of the Free and Accepted Masons.
Frank was married to the love of his life, Shirley, and together they enjoyed 62 blissful years. They truly enjoyed each other's companionship. Their union was blessed with three sons.
He was an avid sports watcher and truly enjoyed baseball. Gardening was his pastime peaceful pleasure along with fishing.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Frank Sr. and Phebiean; a stepmother, Mary B. Jeter; brothers, Wilson, Ernest, Fred, William, Henry and John (Allen) Jeter and 5 stepbrothers.
On May 31, 2017, after a fruitful life, Frank departed this life. He leaves to mourn his passing: a wife who loves him dearly, Shirley; his devoted sons, Frank Bradley Jeter, Steven Jeter and Keith Jeter, grandsons, Frank (Alisha) Bradley Jeter, II and Matthew Jeter; great granddaughters, Sophia Jeter and Madison Jeter; a sister, Margaret (Jeter) Henderson; sisters-in-law, Naomi Jeter and Mary Edna Jeter; a host of other relatives and dear friends.
Frank was an honest, hardworking husband and father full of integrity and will live forever in the hearts of all that knew him.
