Obituary

Frederick Craig Thompson was born December 9, 1943, in McIntyre, Ohio, to the union of Samuel J. and Thelma Carrie (Atkins) Thompson.

He attended Wayne High School. During high school, he excelled in football and track earning the name "Dane". After school, Frederick started working as a Pharmacy Technician. After some time had passed, he transitioned into his career at Consolidation Coal Company in Cadiz, Ohio, where he worked as a coal miner until his retirement.

Frederick had a passion for dancing. He enjoyed hanging out at the Legion where he would show off his unique and skillful dancing ability.  In his spare time, he enjoyed watching soap operas and the Price is Right. He liked grilling out and fishing at Sally Buffalo Park. He was a true fan of the big cars (the old Lincoln Continentals and Audi) and his beloved Cleveland Browns. Lastly, we cannot exclude that he played his Lotto numbers regularly.

He was preceded in death by his parents Samuel J. and Thelma Carrie Thompson; his aunt and uncle who raised him Pauline Atkins-West and Skip West; his siblings Gloria Thompson, Barbara McCollins, Virginia Thompson, Mamie Thompson, Damon Thompson, Floyd Thompson, Samuel Thompson Atkins, and Lewis James Thompson; and one son Edward Butler.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his four children Bethena Thompson, Iesha Thompson, Leroy (Domainquie Lathisha) Butler, and Keith "Butch" Butler; his ex-wife and the mother of his children Betty J. Thompson; grandchildren Auston (Alexa) Thompson, Camiron Thompson, Nigel Leroi Butler, Sade Butler, Cyann Butler, Devon Toney, Devonisha Toney, Devona (Jeremy) Stamps, and Keith Butler Jr.; great-grandchildren Cali  Lewis, and Jermaine Brown; as well as a host of other relatives.

Although he is no longer with us, and was a man of few words and many interest. There are many people that will keep loving and remembering him.
