Henry Lee "Fish" Herring was born in Havana, Florida, on October 2, 1942, to the union of Raymond and Lucille (Hines) Herring. The family relocated to Steubenville, Ohio where he remained until his passing on January 27, 2022, at the age of 79.

He attended Steubenville High School where he participated in three sports and graduated in 1962.  In 1965 he took employment with American Electric Power and remained there until his retirement on January 31, 2005. Henry enjoyed hunting and fishing with his friends, children, grandson, and other family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lula Herring Mallory and Virginia Herring; and brothers, Hershal Herring and Harry Herring.

Henry is survived by his devoted wife, Alice; his sons, Curtis, Niles, and Steve (Kellen) Herring; grandchildren, Callie, Isaiah, Genesis, and Briella; great grandchildren, Anthony and Sole; brothers, Nathan and Michael Herring; sisters, Genevieve Herring Murray and Delois Herring; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and many friends.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 31, 2022, at the GREGORY-MARTIN CHAPEL, 255 S. 7th Street in Steubenville, Ohio.
