Obituary
Mr. Hurley Baker, 88, of Steubenville died Friday, September 22, 2017, at his home. He was born to the union of James H. and Alberta (Walters) Baker on September 22, 1929 in Steubenville.
Hurley served his country in the United States Marines. Hurley was very clever and used his knowledge throughout his life. He loved to read and was known for writing editorials for many newspapers.
Hurley was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Flossie Edwards; brothers, Leroy Baker, James Baker, and Maurice Baker.
He leaves to mourn his loss, his sisters, Ruth (Caesar) Churchwell, and Betty Cole; Robert Baker; his aunt, Sarah Baker Foreman; his cousin and caretaker, Ernest Robinson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Mr. Baker opted for cremation with no services observed.
