Mrs. Ila Latoy Thigpen of Youngstown, Ohio, who transitioned this life on Saturday, April 25, 2026.

Mrs. Thigpen was born on June 28, 1987 in Youngstown, Ohio and the child of Thomas Harris and Sonya Davis.

She graduated from William Wilson High School in 2006 and later attended ETI College, where she earned certifications in Medical Assisting, EKG, and Phlebotomy in 2005. She was employed with Southwoods Health Care.

She enjoyed fishing, coloring, volleyball, basketball, designing, and many other activities. She was very versatile and talented in many different areas.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her husband, Alonzo Thigpen; her parents and grandmothers; her three children, Joseph Solomon, Josiah Solomon, and Jaliyah Solomon; her stepchildren, Assyria, A’sia, and Anthony Thigpen; her mother-in-law and sister-in-law; her special friends, Sheenita, Ceitra, Peaches, and Charmaine; along with a host of other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her two grandfathers Mr. Thomas Harris and Mr. Davis.

A private family service will be held on Monday May 11, 2026.
