James Earl Brandon Sr., 79, of Steubenville, Ohio, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022, at Weirton Medical Center in Weirton, West Virginia. He was born January 30, 1943, in Jackson, Mississippi, to Samuel and Lena (Smith) Brandon.

James was a Christian by faith. He loved repairing cars and had a passion for Cadillacs which were some of his favorite cars. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, watching western movies, reading his bible, and listening to blues. He loved his children and grandchildren dearly. He enjoyed life and never took it for granted.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons James Earl Brandon Jr. and O'Tavius Dontae Wilson; one daughter Celestine Brandon Ware; and one grandson O'Tavius Ka'Reem E'Lijah De'Prince Hurtado.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his children Doris Brandon, Vanessa Brandon, Lolita Brandon Bailey, Demetrius Cortez Brandon Sr., Shekira Isabelle Brandon, and Devin Brandon; one step-daughter Alexandria Bailey; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

A public visitation will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the GREGORY-MARTIN CHAPEL, 255 S. 7th Street in Steubenville, Ohio.
