Obituary

James L. Jeter, 71, of Bellaire, Ohio, passed away on June 18, 2024. James was born on July 8, 1952, to the late Daniel "Grady" Wilson and Gloria Jeter Wilson.

James was a Christian by faith and a God-fearing man. He was a member of the Shiloh Apostolic Faith Assembly. In 1971 James graduated from Weir High School. After high school, he joined the United States Army and served his country proudly during the Vietnam Era. He enjoyed a career as a coal miner and retired after 40 years as a member of the United Mine Workers of America.

He truly loved his family, the "Black and Gold," playing gospel music in his band, and taking road trips to visit friends.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Gloria Wilson; grandparents, Coleman and Elizabeth Jeter and Landrem and Maggie Wilson; and his brothers, Daniel, Ricky, and Michael.

He leaves to cherish his memory a son, Skyler Jeter; brothers, Gregory (Laura) Jeter and Ronald Wilson; a sister, Beverly Wilson; a grandchild, Adriana Stacco; a great-grandchild, Leila Engle; 9 nieces and nephews; many dear friends and plenty of loving family members.
