Obituary

James "Carvie" Lynch, 57 of Steubenville passed away Sept. 2, 2012. He was born on Dec. 31, 1954 to the union of the late James and Mary Jones Lynch.

After graduating fromm Allegheny High School in Pittsburgh, PA, he entered the US Army and received an Honorable Discharge for his service.

He loved music and played and traveled with many bands. He played many instruments but could mostly be found playing lead guitar. He was also a laborer; he worked with Cicely and Smith, Jefferson County CAC and was self employed. Carvie, as he was fondly called, was a gifted handyman.

He was an active member of Second Chance Ministries COGIC. He was a member of the Second Chance Ensemble and he was saved and ready to walk with the Lord his Savior.

Carvie was preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Tina and Patty, and a brother, Robert.

He leaves to cherish his memory, a beloved wife; Mary, children; Carvie "Boot", Carlos, Sheldon, Blair, Xavior, Tamesha, Nyketa, Doretha, Janelle, Bethany and Jamie, Siblings, Arlin, Carlotta, Sherry, Geraldine, Penny, Veronica and Maria, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial Service Sat., Sept. 8th at 11:00AM, Second Chance Ministries COGIC, 255 3rd Street at South Street. Pastor, Mark Gilliam will officate.
