Janet Dudley passed away quietly on June 28, 2023, in Steubenville, Ohio. She was born on January 17, 1963, in Steubenville to the union of Theodore and Christine (nee Suggs) Dudley.

She was a Christian by faith and was baptized at a young age at Second Baptist Church. She attended Steubenville City Schools. Janet had a vibrant personality and people were drawn to her loving spirit. This led her to work with the Urban Mission for many years to help others. She was known by most as "Aunt Janet" because she had never met a stranger and was inviting to all that knew her.

She was an exceptional cook and her culinary skills were legendary. Above all, Janet adored her family. She adored her children and grandchildren. Janet was a fighter, a cancer survivor, and loved hard. She will be remembered for her special unique quotes and her passion for caring for others.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant daughter, Janika Terry; and her siblings, Pamela Combs, Malcolm, Joyce Ann, Matheus, James, and William Dudley.

Janet leaves to cherish her beautiful memory her children, James Pruitt and Dyeisha Dudley; her grandchildren, Raemir Moore, Damari Dudley, and Dacari Wormsley; her siblings, Paula Williams, Brenda, Bernita, Alison, Theodore, Jr., and her twin Janice Dudley; a bonus mother, Pamelia Jackson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 6, 2023, from 11:00 am until the time of Janet's life celebration, noon, at the GREGORY-MARTIN CHAPEL, 255 S. 7th Street in Steubenville, Ohio. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery.
