Jeremy Bernard McLoyd

June 17, 1979 - June 21, 2021

Jeremy Bernard McLoyd was born June 17, 1979, in Alabama and was raised in the home of the Reverend Calvin and Vivian McLoyd. He was called to eternal rest on June 18, 2021.

He was baptized at the age of seven in the First Missionary Baptist Church in Clio, Alabama, and loved to sing in the children's and youth choirs. He was able to carry this talent to the St. James Baptist Church in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, and Second Baptist Church in Steubenville, Ohio.

He attended school in Alabama, Pennsylvania, Ohio and completed his high school education at Boys Town, Nebraska. Jeremy attended Ohio State University and worked in several areas. Jeremy shared that his most challenging experiences were with the New York State Department of Health, the Jewish Board of Family and Children Services, and Best Buy.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his sister, Sonya; his grandparents, Mr. Calvin and Mrs. Ethel McLoyd; and Mrs. Johnnie Mae Fields.

Jeremy will be sadly missed by his parents, Rev. Calvin and Vivian McLoyd. He leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and family. We all cherished you but God loves you best.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 1, 2021, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at the Gregory-Martin Chapel and Life Event Center, 255 S. 7th Street in Steubenville. Interment will take place in Alabama.
