John H. Butler Jr., 79, of Steubenville, Ohio, passed away August 31, 2025. He was born October 4, 1945, in Georgia, the son of the late John H. Butler Sr. and Robbie L. Simmons. John worked for many years in Electrical Maintenance with Weirton Steel and was known for his dedication to his craft. He was recently preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gwendolyn Butler. He will be remembered with love by his family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Quinn AME Church, 515 North Street, Steubenville. Viewing will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 12:00 noon. Entombment will take place at Union Cemetery.
