John Patrick Scott, 52, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away August 22, 2019,  in Steubenville, Ohio. He was born October 27, 1966, in Chicago, IL; to W.D. Barry and Barbara Ann Dorsey.

He was a Muslim by faith and followed the teachings of Islam.  He worked as a Landscaper for many years. He met and married his best friend and the love of his life, Quetilla Scott, on February 10, 2017. Although short, their years together were loving and joyful.

He enjoyed having fun and making people laugh. He loved to sing. He liked to play basketball with his two step-sons. John was a very protective family man and giving to his wife and step-children. John made sure that his family was secure in the comfort of knowing they'd never have to worry.

John was preceded in death by his mother.

His memory will forever be cherished by his wife, Quetilla Scott, of Wintersville, Ohio; his father, W.D. Barry; his five step-children, Cory, Tyy'nk, Syy'maara, Quincy, and Ja'mearion; three brothers; four sisters; a host of other relatives and many friends he has helped within his community.

His family will always love and never forget him. His services will be private per his wishes.
