Josh Williams, 97, of Steubenville, Ohio departed this earthy life on October 16, 2015 at Trinity West Hospital.
He was born on December 6, 1917 in Camilla, GA to the union of John L. and Lillie Mae (nee Peoples) Williams.
He was a Veteran of the United States Army and served his country during the World War II Era. He worked and retired from Weirton Steel Corporation, where he was a Mill Wright. Later, he became the first African American Licensed Master Plumber in the City of Steubenville.
He was preceded in death by his wife; Katie, parents; John L. and Lillie Mae Peoples Williams, three sisters; Bernice, Sarah and Ethel Lee Williams and three brothers; Judson Denson, Willie C and Richard C. Williams.
He is survived by one sister; Virginia (William) Perry of Compton, CA, a daughter; Stephanie Williams, three sons; Roger (Joyce), Jerry and Tyrone Williams, 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, a special friend; Charlotte Fletcher and a host of other relatives.
