Judith Ellen Salter departed this life peacefully on June 22, 2015 at Weirton Medical Center in Weirton, West Virginia.

She was born on August 29, 1934 in Weirton, West Virginia to the late James Dixon and Jessie Lee Strong Brown. She was baptized at an early age and had attended Mt. Olive Baptist Church until her health failed.

Judith was a retired nurse's assistant at Weirton Medical Center and Weirton Geriatric Center, where she retired and was also a resident at the time of her passing.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Irvin B. Salter, two grandsons; Mycal and Jacob Salter, a half-sister; Agnes Brown Brooks and a brother; James Dixon Brown, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory: two sons; Marc Irvin of Manassas, Virginia and Alan Kendall of Cleveland, Ohio, a daughter; Tara Ellen Salter Haines of Weirton, West Virginia, eight grandchildren; Marc Anthony, Jayson, Tiara, Courtney and Jordyn Salter, Justin, Jerren and Brendan Haines, two great grandchildren; Dreama and Desiree Salter, three sisters; Jean Campbell of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Anne Marlene and Victorian E. Taylor both of Cleveland, Ohio, a brother; Gary Brown of Weirton, West Virginia, a nephew; Marvin L. Brown of Weirton, West Virginia a host of other relatives and friends.
