Ms. LaShawna Alyssa Octavia Shuppas-Terry passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 12, 2017. LaLa, as she was lovingly called, was the youngest child born to Linda Shuppas and Larry "LT" Terry. She was born on April 2, 1998, in Steubenville, Ohio.

She was a 2016 graduate of the Steubenville High School, her father's Alma Mater. She was very active in the Best Band in Buckeye Land, the Steubenville "Big Red" Marching Band.

LaShawna was a Christian by faith and attended Christ the King Worship Center in Weirton, West Virginia.

If you met Lala you fell in love with her smile and personality. She had a vibrant, extraordinary and opinionated (like her father) personality. LaLa was full of laughter and fun. She was headstrong and determined and a hard worker, which are all traits she surely developed from her mother, Linda. LaLa had a heart of gold and was kind-hearted; until you made her mad and then she was a ball of fire. She loved life and valued true friendship. She absolutely adored her family and had an unbreakable bond with her sister Milika and loved her nephew Samir as if he were her own.

LaShawna was preceded in death by her father, Larry Terry; a paternal grandfather, Albert Terry and her paternal grandmother, Vera Pruitt.

She is survived by her mommy, Linda Shuppas of Steubenville, Ohio; maternal grandparents, Louise Shuppas of Brilliant, Ohio and Jon (Peggy) Weston of Philadelphia, PA; sisters; Milikia Terry of Steubenville, OH, TiShawna Terry of Wheeling, WV and Monique Gunter of Detroit, MI; brothers, Quintin Constantini of Steubenville, OH and Rodney Carter of Wheeling, WV, her nieces and nephews, Joshua, JaShawna and Justice Jackson and Samir Terry, a great nephew, Jordan; many uncles, Raymond and Alan Terry, Brian, Jason, and Aaron Weston, John, Donovan and Fred Shuppas and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
