Obituary
Lawrence "Life" Rose, 48, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018, in Steubenville. He was born June 28, 1970, in Washington, D.C., the beloved son of the late Sol Rose, Jr. and Mary Louella Cain of Columbus who survives.
Life was a Christian by faith and traditionally attended Tower of Power Ministries where he maintained an essential bond with his pastor and walked in faith. He attended Steubenville City Schools. Life never encountered a stranger and was heartily a "people person."
Most of all he loved and adored his family. He was family oriented and there truly was nothing he wouldn't do for his family. He was a father to his children, an uncle to his nieces and nephews, and a cousin to many.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sol Rose, Jr. and one brother, Joseph Rose.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his mother, Mary Cain; his children, Calree, Isaiah, Elijah, Joseph, and Michael Rose, Caelynn Smith, and Destinee Kinest; three grandchildren; his siblings, Sol Rose, III, and Allen Rose, of Steubenville, Sher Rose of Columbus; and Sarah, Jameaka, and Jermaine Ingram of Coshocton.
He also leaves behind his remarkably close friend who was like a brother, Joseph Barker; and Kristina Kinest who was the co-parent to their children.
The family will receive friends at Tower of Power Ministries, 1310 Maryland Ave., Steubenville, from 1:00 until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2018. The Rev. Dr. Everett Mitchell will deliver the eulogy. Arrangements by Gregory-Martin Funeral Home (740) 282-1234.
