Mr. Leonard Brown was born October 20, 1963, in Steubenville, Ohio to the union of Donald and Jacqueline (Nance) Brown. He passed away on July 25, 2018, at his home.
Leonard was a graduate of Burgettstown Senior High School. After graduation, he enlisted into the United States Navy and received an honorable discharge for his service to his country. He worked and retired as a correctional officer for Belmont Correctional Institution.
He was the type of person that could bring light to any situation. He was a devout and loyal Pittsburgh Steelers fan, win or lose. Just to be around him was a guaranteed laugh. He was a devoted father and grandfather, and a beloved friend. He loved his daughter and 2 granddaughters more than anything. Spending time with his daughter, especially when he had to kill a bug, was always a highlight.
He was preceded in death by his father; his uncle, Randy Bannister; his aunt, Essie Bannister; one brother, Craig Brown; and a sister Melinda Brown.
He is survived by his mother Jacqueline Brown; his children, Erickalynn and Derrick Brown; mother of his children, Tammy Brown; his brothers, Tony Brown, and Chris Terry; his sister Y'Vonne Brown; 2 granddaughters, Mya Brown and Karina Campbell, and a host of other relatives
