IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Louis Jones
Jr.
February 5, 1976 – May 21, 2025
Louis Howard Jones Jr., lovingly known as "Ching," passed away on May 21, 2025, at the age of 49. Born on February 5, 1976, in Weirton, West Virginia, Ching was a proud graduate of Weir High School and a dedicated truck driver who held a CDL and spent much of his life on the road, working hard to support those he loved.
Ching was a man of warmth, strength, and deep loyalty. He enjoyed fishing and took great pride in cooking meals for his family—simple joys that brought him peace and a sense of connection. He will be remembered for the love he gave and the laughter he shared.
He is survived by his father, Louis Howard Jones Sr. (Belinda). He was preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Yvonne Jones, and his brother, Clarence Miller. Ching is remembered with love by Melissa Madison, his long-term companion of 13 years. He is also remembered by his wife, Leslie Jones. Although their marriage did not last, they continued to hold a strong friendship. He was the proud father of Louis Howard Jones III, Elisha Deonda Jones, and Leighael Jones, who he loved more than anything in this world. His memory lives on through his siblings: Monica Jones, Lester Miller, Louie Curernton (Michelle), Jason Jones (Tyesha), Bonnie Bishop (Ja'wan), and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to honor Ching's life on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Gregory-Martin's Funeral Home. The viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Repass will follow.
Ching's life was full of love and moments that made lasting memories. His presence will be deeply missed, and his legacy will live on in the stories shared by those who knew and loved him.
