Malia Dawmonique Dunn, age 22, of Steubenville gained her wings on Monday, October 21, 2019. She was the daughter of Herbert Jr. and Marlene (McGee) Dunn.

Malia was employed at Microtel Inn & Suites in Steubenville.

She was a fun and cheerful spirit; who could light up a room with her presence. She had a passion for writing and drawing. She enjoyed listening to music and playing video games with her dear nephew Jaylin; when they played together they constantly laughed about who did it better and who won first. She was a brilliant aunt to her dear nieces Shana and Mi'chell. Malia was family-oriented and loved spending time with all her family. Most of all she adored her close relationship with her parents.

She is survived by her parents, Herbert and Marlene Dunn; two sisters, Merinda and Tiffany Bradley; four brothers, Benjamin Sorter; Herbert III, Tyree, and Richard Dunn; four nieces, Shana Gallup, Mi'chell Barnet, Karizma, and Allure Robinson; a nephew, Jaylin Ferguson; her fiancée, Danaaja Hall, whom she loved dearly; her Godmother, Dawn Thompson Howard; a host of other relatives and dear friends

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 28, 2019, at 12 PM at the Gregory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel, 255 S. 7th Street in Steubenville. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until the time of service. Rev. Toni Hubbard will officiate.
