Margaret Ellen Anthony Andress, age 67, passed away on August 27, 2024, at her residence in Cadiz, Ohio, surrounded by her loving family. Known to many as Peggy, she was born on September 9, 1956, in Follansbee, West Virginia, and spent most of her life in Ohio. Peggy was the daughter of the late Robert "Rawhide" and Dorothy L. Andress.

Peggy had a zest for life and enjoyed playing Yahtzee and Bingo, listening to music, and dancing before her illness took its toll. She was known for her infectious smile and vibrant personality, and she will be deeply missed. Her warmth and love left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her ex-husband and long-time best friend, Carl A. Crawford Sr.; her son, Carl A. Crawford Jr.; her brother, Robert Andress Sr.; two sisters, June Still and Susan Davis several aunts and uncles; and three great-grandchildren, Heaven Carroll, Jordan Carroll, and Isaac Fletcher Jr.

Peggy is survived by her four children: Peggy (Bill) Klinesmith Sr. of Cadiz, Ohio; Carl A. Crawford III of Weirton, West Virginia; Misty Williams of Wellsburg, West Virginia; and John Crawford Sr. of Texas. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Loretta Crawford of Steubenville, Ohio; two brothers, William Andress Sr. of Mingo Junction, Ohio, and Jerry Plotts of New Jersey; thirteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; her best friend Violet Still; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Valley Hospice for their compassionate care and support during Peggy's final days.

No public services will be held. Condolences may be conveyed to the family through Peggy's online guestbook. Arrangements are under the care of Gregory-Martin Funeral Home in Steubenville, Ohio.
